Frequently Asked Questions
Below is a list of the most commonly asked questions .Please feel free to contact us if the answer to your question is not listed and we'll get back to you within 48 hours.
How long will it take for my website to be completed?
If you have a deadline in mind we'll always try and meet it for you, but the most common delay in the design process is waiting for the client to send the content (text and images) to us. The quicker we get the content, the quicker we can complete the site!
I want you to design a website, but what do I need to do now?
If you would like to use the services we offer, all you have to do is complete the design enquiry form. The form will ask you for your preferred domain name and ask you to give a brief idea of your requirements. We will then purchase the domain name and a hosting package that best suits your needs, and both will be registered in your name. An initial page will then be designed, based upon your requirements and alterations and refinements made until a satisfactory design has been reached. We would then need you to forward the content and images to enable the site to be built.
How much will it cost?
This will depend on the type of site you require and what you want it to do. Our price guide will give you a good idea as to the cost involved. We will always endeavor to stay within price of each package, but as you might expect costs can vary according to the size and requirements of the project and we will always give you a written quote before undertaking any work.
Do I need to purchase a domain name and hosting package?
No, we take care of all that on your behalf.
What do I get for my money?
All the websites we build are created from scratch and designed according to your requirement and preferences. If you want a ‘girly' looking pink website, we'll make sure that's exactly what you get!
We aim to give excellent value for money and guarantee 100% satisfaction. You'll get a site that looks great, is easy to navigate, has clean coding, optimized pages and graphics and is cross browser compatible.
What happens when I complete your design enquiry or contact form?
We will endeavor to reply within 48 hours whenever possible. If you are enquiring about a possible site that you would like us design, we'll e-mail you back with either a ‘hard quote' or some further questions regarding your project. You are not obliged to use any of our services during this process. All quotes are given without absolutely any obligation.
Is a deposit required before the work is started?
We ask for a deposit of 25% before we undertake any work.
What is ftp?
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol, and is a way of transferring files (eg web pages and images) from your PC to your web server. Ftp software will allow you to update your website pages as and when you like and can be obtained from a number of sources on the internet. When we purchase your hosting package, ‘ftp' details are sent to us, these consist of a host name, User ID and password. When the website is complete and full payment has been received, we will send these details to you.
How do I get my website listed in Google?
We submit all sites to Google, MSN, Yahoo and DMOZ on your behalf.
What is meant by the term optimization?
Optimization enables your site to gain a high search engine ranking and revolves around the information entered in the meta tags of each page as well as the content of the actual web page itself.
Will there be any need to have a meeting?
No, most sites are completed with e-mail and telephone contact only.
What after sales support will I receive?
We offer unlimited amendments within the first 28 days of the site going live, thereafter updates and amendments are charged at £25.00 per hour with a minimum charge of £25.00. We are happy to give e-mail support absolutely free of charge.
